Taser used on defendant in Powhatan court

A man apparently dissatisfied with a judge’s decision to send him to jail was shot with a Taser on Tuesday in Powhatan County Circuit Court after he began struggling with deputies trying to handcuff him, authorities said. Keith Marcel Blacknell, who was in court for his appeal of five misdemeanor convictions from Powhatan General District Court, “threw a little fit” and had to be subdued after he resisted being taken into custody, said Sheriff Greg Neal.
