Prison, payback ordered in Va. mortgage fraud scheme

NORFOLK—A Virginia Beach man has been sentenced to five years in prison and ordered to pay $1.1 million in restitution after pleading guilty to wire fraud in a mortgage scheme. The government says 44-year-old Wayne Marlon Benedic Lezama was sentenced yesterday in U.S. District Court in Norfolk. He entered his guilty plea in November.
