I once covered the Boy Scout Jamboree at Fort A.P. Hill when it was 103 degrees, and the Secret Service had to take the picture for my security badge four times because my massive amount of sweat had bewildered their digital camera. While covering VCU’s dramatic NCAA tourney win over Duke in Buffalo, New York, my photographer’s car broke down in a Niagara Falls casino parking lot an hour before tip off.
