Grand Illumination’s 25th anniversary draws festive crowd

Santa, the Snow Queen and Richmond’s mayor joined a huge crowd of people bringing in the holiday season at last night’s Grand Illumination outside the James Center in Shockoe Slip. Last night was the 25th anniversary of the celebration, and Mayor Dwight Clinton Jones declared yesterday “Grand Illumination Day,“ wishing peace, prosperity and good health for everyone.
