Goochland Methane emissions at the landfill beneath Hidden Rock Park are under control, according to the latest monitoring report dated April 8 from the state Department of Environmental Quality. A new remediation system was installed this year to bring the landfill into compliance with state standards. Henrico Henrico County resident Ellis Baggs finished in the top 15 during the 2009 Monopoly U.S. National Championship completed yesterday in Washington. Baggs, an environmental lawyer at Hunton & Williams, finished 14th out of 28 competitors. Baggs won his opening round match Tuesday night but lost both rounds he played yesterday. He lost to eventual national champion Richard Marinaccio of Buffalo, N.Y. Marinaccio collected $20,580 and advances to the World Championship tournament in Las Vegas in October.
